Thorton Heights Methodist Church of South Portland, Maine has ambient acoustics to augment the Allen 2 manual Organ recently reinstalled by Church Music Systems.  Rev. Richard Swann, the pastor at Thorton Heights, recalls that  the congregation participates more in the singing of the hymns after the console was moved to the front of the church.

This two-manual Allen organ is augmented by a 2 channel sound reinforcement system, which allow control over a split division instrument, with sound emanating from above the alter as well as from the choir loft in the rear of the sanctuary.  The resulting acoustic ambience can be experienced by all who worship at Thorton Heights.
